What does it mean to be as Bold as a Lion?

Updated: Jan 8

As I sit at my table the Holy Spirit whispers this in my ear and it challenges me. I get on Google and I search for images “Bold as a Lion” and as I look through them I feel a holy fear of the Lord and realize that I have not been living “Bold like a lion.” Lions don’t trample on everything but animals in the kingdom know that they are powerful and could take them down at any moment.

What would it be like if we lived Bold like Lions? Would we be living out our lives with the full power of God flowing through us? Or rather, allowing his power to flow through us? So often I believe that we stop it from happening. Through fear, comfort or complacency. We, as humans don’t want to step out of our comfort zone because it is hard; and we fear what might happen if we do.

The Holy Spirit is challenging me this morning as he whispered in my ear and as he lead me to Romans 8:31. “If God is for us, who can be against us.” And Romans 8:35 “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s Love?”

God is always with us and wants us to live in the fashion that he created us for. To live a BOLD and Christ like life. To be filled with the Love and Light of God and to not let the things of this world trample us down. But to stand tall and Bold in a way that we are confident in knowing who we are in Christ…His children! And we were created for greatness and to walk this earth with a strength that can’t be stripped away from us.

So I am asking the Holy Spirit to give me the eyes of a “lion” to see through the lenses of fearlessness and love. Will you join me in this journey? What would happen in the world around us if we fearlessly walked as children of God? I believe that just through doing that people will experience Jesus in a whole new way. Seeing Christ through us in Strength and Love.
