It's Time To Get Out Of The Water

So I had this vision tonight of me coming up out of the water. I wasn't holding my breath or struggling anymore. And I felt like the Holy Spirit said ”You Have come out of the water.”

There have been times in my life when it felt like I was drowning, unable to breath or keep my head above the water. The pain seemed so unbearable that I just wanted to give up and sink to the bottom of an abyss. I didn’t believe that I was strong enough to swim to the shore that I was longing to be at. It seemed like an impossible situation.

While talking to The Holy Spirit he took me back to my years as a competitive swimmer. We would train five days a week for two hours a day. There would be times when we would hold water bricks above our heads in the deep end and have to kick for a minute straight without going below the water. It was terribly hard and seemed impossible, seemed like there was no way that I would be able to accomplish such a task. But I did. I mustered up the strength and even though it hurt, I did it. After doing this for what seemed like an eternity our coach told us to put the bricks on the deck and kick, holding our hands above our head without the bricks. It was easy and didn’t hurt at all. I have found that in life, there will be times when you feel like your drowning but God is using that situation to strengthen you so that when you come out of it, you will be able to rise out of the water stronger then when you got in it.

#StrengthInTheJourney

Isaiah 40:29-31

What situation are you going through where it seems impossible and as though you are drowning? How do you feel God can use this situation to strengthen you for the journey to come?
